Brian Triplett
Brian Triplett is the Logistics and Communications Director for The World Tri and an award-winning journalist who has worked for ESPN.com and the Los Angeles Times. After receiving a BA in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Iowa in 2006, Brian developed a passion for exploration. This set him into motion on an around-the-world solo journey followed by a coast-to-coast hike across the United States in which he told the stories of strangers encountered along the way. Both adventures were documented and shared with tens of thousands of readers around the globe through narrative essays, photos and video shorts via website projects entitled Exploring the Unknown and No Stranger Land, respectively.

Dr. Richard Deming
Dr. Deming is the head of oncology for Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines with experience in Nepal and the Himalayas. Dr. Deming will be leading a trek to the Base Camp of Mount Everest on behalf of the LIVESTRONG Foundation, of which he is an active member and advocate. Dr. Deming’s group is limited to cancer survivors and their supporters.
