The World Triathlon is a three-part initative to make global connections through adventure, education and global health. For those interested in financially supporting The World Triathlon we have created three avenues for you to help. In considering your option please know that 100% of your financially contributions will be directed to the area you select, leaving the choice of what you want your money to do, entirely up to you. Even the smallest contributions can go a long way when matched with all the other small contributions coming in from around the globe. We sincerely appreciate your support and enthusiasm!
Adventure
The triathlon portion of the project is being funded entirely by Charlie and Cate as a tool to facilitate global connections to further their initiatives in education and global health. They have purposely chosen not to solicit for individual donations to support the triathlon portions of the The World Tri, to ensure that more money is given directly to the global health and educational programs that are part of the project.
Contributions are being taken in the form of corporate underwriting and equipment sponsorship. If you are interested in helping to make this unprecedented physical quest a reality, please send an email to charlie@theworldtri.com.

Education
To create it’s educational programs, The World Tri has partnered with The Adventure Institute, a non-profit organization that uses ‘adventure’ as a tool to educate and Topics Education, an educational program development company that, among other things, is responsible for the school-based curriculum for Al Gore’s film An Inconvenient Truth.
The World Tri’s educational program is a year long, inquiry-based and project-based curriculum that strategically links together students, educators, families and the general public in formal and informal educational communities, all centered around the 10,000 mile journey that is The World Tri. The program will be disseminated through The Wolrd Tri’s website, as well as through purpose built curriculum develop by Topics Education that will be distributed and made available to schools, educators and parents worldwide, at no cost to them.
To make these programs a reality, we need your help. Please watch the video above with a message from Cate and Charlie and consider making a tax-deductible contribution through the link below to The Adventure Institute, the The World Tri’s educational partner.

Global Health
Women are 100 times more likely to die giving birth in Nepal than in the United States. The World Tri team has partnered with Des Moines University (DMU) and the The White Ribbon Alliance (WRA) to raise awareness about global maternal mortality and support efforts to save women’s lives in Nepal.
When The World Tri reaches Kathmandu, DMU will provide a team of physicians and students to provide education on safe childbearing. DMU, the World Health Organization, and members of the World Tri expedition team, will work with local birth attendants to teach best practices for complicated deliveries using DMU’s state-of-the-art birthing simulators. WRA and its affiliate, the Safe Motherhood
Network Federation Nepal, will travel with the World Tri team through rural Nepal to educate women and girls about family planning, antenatal care, maternal health and safe delivery practices.
Please consider making a tax- deductable donation to The White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood to support the work of WRA members in 148 countries using the PayPal buttons below.
